Funeral Mass for Max M. Porte, 66, 559 N. 10th St., Flagler Beach, will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday (today) at the Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church with the Rev. Rather Antonio Leon officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Mr. Porte passed away Monday afternoon at his home of an apparent heart attack. He served as a Flagler Beach City Commissioner from 1968 to 1972. He was born in Wyandotte, Mich., and moved to Flagler Beach 22 years ago from Libonia, Mich. He was a retired housing contractor and a member of the Santa Marla del Mar Men’s Club.

Mr. Porte is survived by his wife Catherine, Flagler Beach, two daughters, Mrs. Joan Dulaney and Mrs. Catherine Allen, Jacksonville, one son, Mervin, Placnaitia, Calif., four sisters including Mrs. Anna Amo, Flagler Beach, three brothers including Martin Porte of Flagler Beach, and eight grandchildren.

Craig Funeral Home of Bunnell is in charge of arrangements.
