		  John  Frederick (Jack) Petit of Ormond Beach, former commander of VFW Post 5213 in  Bunnell, died last Friday at the age of 67.
		  Mr.  Petit died of cancer at Halifax District Hospital in Daytona Beach. He also  suffered from a heart condition.
		  In  addition to serving the Bunnell post during the years he owned and operated the  Bimini Bar. Mr. Petit was a past state commander of the VFW and at the time of  his death was serving on the financial committee of the national organization.
		  Born  in New York City, Mr. Petit attended public schools there and at the age of 18  went to France for a year to visit his grandparents and work in the champagne  caves.
		  He  moved to Daytona Beach in 1947. For several years he owned and operated Jack’s  Circus Bar at the corner of Mason and Berkshire.
		  When  he retired recently, Mr. Petit lived at a mobile home park in Ormond Beach,  operating a coin dealership.
		  He  was also a member of the Military Order of Cooties, Put Tent 6;  Ormond Beach Lions Club; Ormond Beach Elks  Lodge and American Legion Post 120 of Holly Hill.
