Josiah Henry Perritt, 97, of Jacksonville, passed away February 29 in a Jacksonville hospital. He was the father of J. D. Perritt of Flagler Beach.

Born in Climax, Ga., he resided at Vero Beach 30 years before moving to Jacksonville. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Vera Beach.

Survivors include four sons, J. D. Perritt, Flagler Beach; Bowen H. Perritt, Jacksonville; Joe J. Perritt, Vero Beach and William H. Perritt, Daytona Beach; two daughters, Mrs. Agnes P. Axson, Jacksonville, and Mrs. Wilbur F. Schilling, Orlando; nine grandchildren and 21 great- grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services were held March 3 at Crestlawn Cemetery in Vero Beach with the Rev. T. O. Baldwin officiating.
