		  State  Senator Fred Parker of Mayo died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Maurice  Folsom, on Sunday evening as a result of a heart attack.
		  Senator  Parker, who was a farm and automobile dealer, had been a member of the state  senate for 12 years and was president pro-tem of the 1939 sessions, He had  served for six years as county commissioner from Lafayette county and served  two terms in the house of representatives before being elected state senator.
		  Senator  Parker, long recognized as a powerful member of the senate, had been a strong  supporter of Governor Holland’s program since the legislature convened April 8.
		  Funeral  services for Senator Parker were held Tuesday afternoon from the First Baptist  Church at Day. Interment was made in the Day Cemetery.
