	      Charles Atwood Parker, pioneer .resident of Daytona Beach, passed  away Thursday in a DeLand nursing home following a. long illness. He was 89  years of age.
	      Mr. Parker was born in Savannah,  Georgia, and came to Florida in 1898. He was  a retired builder and also founder and charter member of the Cartersville  Methodist Church. He also resided and was engaged in the building business in Flagler Beach for several years. 
	      Graveside funeral services and interment were held Saturday  afternoon at the Pellicer   Creek Cemetery,  near Cartersville. Rev. Ira Thomas, associate minister of the Pentecostal  Evangelistic Temple of Lake City officiated.
	      He is survived by three sons, Clyde Parker, of Daytona  Beach; Charles H. Parker, Ormond Beach; Hollis Parker of Fredericksburg, Va.;  four daughters, Mrs. Reba Vincent, Mrs. Faye Folsom, Mrs. Eva Hutchinson, all  of Daytona Beach, and Mrs. Alma Bond of  Indianapolis, Ind. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
	      Baggett-McIntosh of Daytona    Beach was in charge of arrangements.
