Isaac Lee, father of W. J. Lee of Orange Hammock, died at the home of his son about six o'clock Sunday morning after an extended period of illness. The deceased was 88 years of age and has been a resident of Flagler County for the past 21 years.

Mr. Lee was a native of Lake City, S. C. He saw four years service in the Civil War and was wounded at Gettysburg. After the war he taught school for several years in the vicinity of his old home in South Carolina, but was forced to give up teaching because of the wound received which affected his speech.

Funeral services were held from the Baptist church here Tuesday afternoon at one o'clock, Rev. J. M. DeVette, pastor of the church officiating.

Later in the afternoon the body was laid to rest in Espanola Cemetery where a large number of friends had gathered to pay their respects to the deceased.
