CHARLES ALEXANDER ALLIGOOD
(c 1891 – 15 JUL 1953)

Thursday, July 23, 1953 - - Charles Alexander Alligood passed away at his home here last Wednesday night after a short illness.

Funeral services were held at Spring Hill Methodist Church, near Alachua at 3 P. M. Sunday afternoon and he was buried at Spring Hill Cemetery. Rev. H. L. Brown officiated and was assisted by Rev. A. F. Eggleston.

Pallbearers were Clarence Nettles, Lewis Daniels, Dale Alligood, Ray Alligood, Turner Alligood and Edward Floyd.

Mr. Alligood, 68, was a native of Tallahassee and had resided in Flagler Beach for four years.

Survivors are his wife, Laura Lee Alligood, two daughters, Mrs. Betty Miller and Mrs. Hester Allison, both of Flagler Beach; two sons, Hubert W. Alligood of Alabama, and John Carl Alligood of Flagler Beach; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Nettles of Chiefland, Fla., and Mrs. Lilla Clark of Largo, Fla.; one brother, Archie Alligood of Alachua.
