VIRGIL ELMO ALFORD
(20 AUG 1924 – 25 MAY 1981)

Thursday, May 28, 1981 - -Virgil E. Alford, 56, of 340 Palm Circle, Flagler Beach, died Monday in Community Hospital of Bunnell after a short illness.

Born in Mount Hermon, La., he came here from Melbourne nine years ago where he was a retired auto parts store manager.

He was a World War II Navy veteran, a member of First Christian Church and Carpenters Local 1685 in Melbourne.

Survivors include his wife, Murial; his father, Herbert L. of Melbourne; three sons, and four grandchildren.

Arrangements were by the Woodward Funeral Home of Ormond Beach.
