Joshua C. Geiger, born about 1872, GA, died 31 Jan 1928, Daytona Beach, Volusia CO, FL, married Cora L LNU, born 23 Aug 1885, FL, died 09 Apr 1944, Largo, Pinellas CO, FL. Both buried Hope Cemetery, now Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens, Flagler CO, FL.

The family is listed on page 4 of the 1920 census of Flagler County with his occupation given as "Clerk Circuit Court." He came to Flagler County from Appling County, Georgia about 1918, where he had been clerk of court for his home county for a number of years.

He was a mail carrier for the rural route at one time and served as Clerk of the Circuit Court for Flagler County from 1919 until his death Jan 1928 in an automobile accident. His name is inscribed on the cornerstone of the Flagler County Courthouse as being clerk when the building was erected in 1926.

In Feb 1925, Joshua reopened the Bonita Café in Bunnell and also purchased Uncle Dan Deen's vegetable and grocery store. The café fronted on the Dixie Highway and the grocery fronted on Moody Blvd., however the rooms connect in the rear of each making it very convenient to handle under one management.

He held large property interest in Flagler County, farming being among them. After his death the family moved to Daytona. Mrs. Geiger had a daughter, Jessie Knox, by a previous marriage. Mr. and Mrs. Geiger were the parents of five children;

4. John Calhoun Geiger, born 24 Mar 1915, FL, died 28 Oct 1981, Daytona Beach, Volusia CO, FL, buried Hope Cemetery, now Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens, Flagler CO, FL

5. William Franklin Geiger, born 04 Oct 1916, FL, died 10 Mar 1988, Mims, Brevard CO, FL, married Gertrude Leopoldina LNU, born 12 Feb 1922, died 03 Apr 1984, Mims, Brevard CO, FL. Both buried Hope Cemetery, now Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens, Flagler CO, FL. He served in the U.S. Army in WW II.

Cora L LNU married 1st FNU Knox. They had one dau, Jessie, born about 1908, FL
