Tom J. Anglin

Tom J. Anglin born about 1879 in AL and his wife Bertha Lula (LNU) born 09 Jul 1880, died 22 May1956, Jacksonville, Duval CO, FL, came to this area prior to 1920 and are found in the census of Flagler County on page 30, residing in the St Johns Park area and his occupation given as "Manager Sawmill."

He worked for A.B. Torrey Barrel Company as a machinist and saw filer. He later operated a restaurant in Bunnell. During the time they resided in Flagler County their daughter died of typhoid fever at the age of 17 and their son Archie was murdered on 31 Mar 1924. Services for the son Archie were held at the home on 3 April by Rev. H.E. Partridge. E.C. Cutts was tried and convicted of manslaughter for his murder in a trial held in Gainesville, Fla.

Mrs Anglin and the three children are buried at Espanola Cemetery. Known children of Mr and Mrs Anglin:

2. Ava May Anglin born about 1903 AL, died 18 Jul 1920 St Johns Park, Flagler CO, FL

3. Edgar Edward Anglin born 18 Mar 1907 Pansy, AL, died 12 Aug 1963, Jacksonville, Duval CO, FL, married Nancy E. He served in the US Navy in WW II. Issue:
